Description

Collagenase clostridium histolyticum is an enzymatic treatment that breaks down collagen in fibrotic tissue. While primarily approved for Dupuytren's contracture and Peyronie's disease, it has been investigated for use in dermal cysts and fibrotic skin lesions. The enzyme selectively degrades collagen types I and III found in pathological connective tissue.
