Description
Rho(D) immune globulin is a sterile solution of immunoglobulin containing antibodies to the Rh(D) antigen. It is used to prevent hemolytic disease of the newborn (erythroblastosis fetalis) in Rh-negative mothers who may be carrying an Rh-positive fetus. The drug works by suppressing the immune response of Rh-negative individuals to Rh-positive red blood cells.
