Description
Bleomycin is a glycopeptide antibiotic with antineoplastic activity used in combination chemotherapy regimens. It is commonly used in the treatment of germ cell tumors including malignant ovarian germ cell neoplasms as part of the BEP (bleomycin, etoposide, cisplatin) regimen. Bleomycin causes DNA strand breaks and inhibits DNA synthesis.
