Description
Salicylic acid is a keratolytic and comedolytic agent that promotes desquamation of the stratum corneum. It is used to treat various hyperkeratotic and scaling dermatoses by softening and removing thickened skin. The agent is effective for focal acral hyperkeratosis and other keratotic conditions.
