Description
Somatropin is a recombinant human growth hormone used to treat growth failure in children with various conditions including chromosomal abnormalities and skeletal dysplasias. It stimulates linear growth and increases growth rate in pediatric patients. In chromosome 9p deletion syndrome and omodysplasia, growth hormone therapy may be considered for short stature management when growth hormone deficiency is documented.
